On our first day in Mykonos we found this abandoned bus on the side of the road, which was our playground for the afternoon! Is this not the coolest bus you've ever seen? I definitely wasn't expecting a broken bus to be one of the highlights of Mykonos, but they should put it on Trip Advisor! Afterwards we went to Paradise Beach Club, which was amazing - it's only my second ever beach club but I think I'm really getting a taste for beach parties - dancing and sun and food AND swimming? Sign me up haha! There was this one DJ that was AWFUL though - nothing like the singing into the microphone over the music the whole night to ruin paradise! At one point I just had to run to the ocean and go swimming in the dark to get away from it! (It wasn't deep or dangerous!). Just thinking about it makes me want earplugs. Oh wait, no, that's the guy in the bunk next to me snoring. I better get some zZZ too - peace out x

Take Me To Church

There are so many churches in Santorini, there's no way you could visit them all in four days. There are literally hundreds! I think we made a pretty thorough visit to this one though! I was partly crawling cross the building because of the height, and partly because I didn't want to be seen in case we weren't supposed to be there... Gotta risk it for the shot, right? I think some of these shots are the first time I took my sunglasses off outside - with everything painted white, the glare is super intense. Even the tree trunks are painted white here, to keep the insects off! We spent the day exploring the island and eating gelati... then had a big nap because the heat just makes me so sleepy! And now we're going back for round two of my new favourite vegan Neopolitan dish... so excited! x

Sunset Paradise

The pictures can't capture just how impossibly beautiful the sunset over Oia is. It's our last day here in Santorini, and I'll actually be super sad to leave my dream holiday. We've watched sunsets, eaten far too many gyros and authentic Greek (vegan!) food, rented a car to drive the whole way around the island, visited every beach we could, took a boat out to the hot springs and volcano, and partied with some girls who found out they passed their final medical exams right in front of us (I've never heard a louder shriek with delight!). So our days in Santorini are nearly over, but we still have a little time left - I'm off to try every flavour of gelati in town and soak up the views before we head to our next destination... Mykanos! Catch you later x

Santorini

Armed with only 2 hours of sleep in a dodgy hostel in Athens during a 29 hour journey from Singapore to Greece, we somehow made it to Santorini with enough energy to explore the island as soon as we landed (never mind that I nearly fell asleep in my traditional vegetable gyro at lunch!). The views are absolutely breathtaking. I wasn't expecting the island to be so big, but it can take 3 hours to walk between the main town Fira, where we are staying, and the smaller but idillic town of Oia. Luckily, there's also a bus! We ate four more than the recommended daily intake of the most delicious vege wraps (I nearly exploded but I couldn't say no to Greek hospitality, right?), and swam in our hotel pool, before busing to Oia to watch the sunset. It was pretty crowded, but we managed to find a spot with a fantastic view. If you're ever in Santorini, don't miss the Oia sunset! Tomorrow we are going on a sailing boat to the volcanos and hot springs and most probably eat about a hundred more gyros (pronounced the same way you pronounce Euros - which makes for a confusing order!). Love to the beach and back x

No Bad Days

Last night we hit Singapore town! We ate at Well Dressed, a fantastic vegan restaurant where I had the best pulled jackfruit burger I've ever eaten. Definitely going back there one day! Then Georgia took us to have drinks in the very quaint China Town, and afterwards we taxied to Clarke Quay, which is essentially a Disneyland-sized air conditioned dome, packed full with nightclubs (um, living the dream?). We spent most of the night dancing in a Mexican-themed club where a live rock band alternated only between Shakira and Flo-Rida. Bizarre but totally catchy! Tomorrow Daniel and I are flying to Athens via Doha, so we are currently preparing ourselves for the 14 hours of flying by heading to a party at Tanjong Beach Club, obviously. No bad days in Singapore, right? I'll keep you updated on the status of my inevitable impending headache. Love and jet lag x
