How To Get Unstuck

If you’re feeling stuck right now, there’s a solution you need to know about.

It’s called the It’s Not Working Cycle.

When your thought is:

  1. When your thought is: “It’s not working.”

  2. You stop working

  3. Then whatever it is you’re doing stops working.

Now your brain has proof. SEEEEE! It’s not working! And you’re back to the start.

The good news is that this cycle has an equally effective counterpart: the It’s Working Cycle.

  1. You think “It’s working.”

  2. You start working.

  3. And whatever it is you’re doing starts working.

You might be thinking “wait, that’s not true. I’ve been thinking “it’s working”, and I’ve been working on it for ages and it’s STILL not working.”

HOLD YOUR HORSES! Did you see what happened there? You jumped straight back into the It’s Not Working Cycle.

That’s how easy it is to get stuck.

All you have to think is “it’s not working” and you get instantly teleported through an invisible black hole into a parallel universe where everything seems the same except it’s NOT.

You’re in the It’s Not Working universe, where dreams go to die.

And it’s SO hard to notice you’re in this parallel universe. Because “it’s not working” seems like a logical, true thought. It SEEMS real.

Some people spend their entire lives in this alternate universe. Never getting what they want, never knowing why.

The only way out is a single thought:

It’s working.
