I just performed in a Salsa and Reggaeton show this weekend and it was the highlight of my year so far! I’m about to run a really amazing challenge called Achieve Any Goal in 3 Days, which I can’t wait for.

Goals I’m working on right now:

    7 figure business

    5000 subscribers on YouTube

  • Hey! I’m Sarah.

I set goals to feel alive.

    Sweaty palms.
    Racing heart.

    Can’t think of anything else.

Combining my background in Psychology with my training as a High Performance Coach, I help ambitious entrepreneurs, creatives and athletes achieve their goals.

l created this blog to share behind-the-scenes of my own goals and help you push your limits. I'm creating what I wish existed for me to consume.

People often ask if I’ll climb Mt Everest like my parents did in the 90's (as depicted in the 2015 film, Everest).

While I’ve done a little bit of mountaineering (Kilimanjaro in 2011 and Everest Base Camp in 2007) what most people don’t know is that my late dad was also an entrepreneur. I feel most connected to him through our shared love of entrepreneurship and attempting the impossible in all areas of life.

How to Manifest Your Dreams

drew-colins-LIEQsu5JuoM-unsplash.jpg

Manifestation is a total buzzword.

It is often associated with The Law of Attraction or The Secret, but really, there’s nothing woo-woo about it at all. Here’s the definition of manifestation by Oxford Dictionary:

an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something abstract or theoretical

In more simple words: a mental concept coming to life.

So how do you make a mental concept come to life?

You must become the kind of person who can make it come to life.

You can’t win an Oscar for Best Actor if you’re not an actor.

So in order to get the result, you have to first BE the person who can achieve the result. Whatever result you want, step into being that person first.

Then, equally importantly, you must also take action.

The actor must act. You cannot win an Oscar for Best Actor if you haven’t acted in a film, show or production.

You must BE the actor, and you must DO the acting in order to win best actor.

Be the kind of person who gets the result.

Then do the thing that person would do to get the result.

Manifestation = Mindset + Action

It’s all about getting yourself into total alignment with the result:

  1. What result do you want?

  2. Who do you need to be to get that result?

  3. Now that you are already that person, what do you do/say/think/wear/eat?

The Antidote to Boredom

estee-janssens-MUf7Ly04sOI-unsplash.jpg

I realized during this lockdown period that I don’t think I’m capable of being bored.

I used to hear kids say “Muuuuum, I’m bored!” and I’d be confused – how could they be bored?! There was always a goal or a dream to pursue. From building a treehouse or making crafts, to starting a business selling cookies and making up a dance.

Sure, some tasks are “boring” but even as a kid, I always had 1000 ideas I wanted to implement.

I never have nothing on my to-do list. I wired myself this way.

There is always a project I want to start or an idea to bring to life.

I will never be someone to sit down and think “there’s nothing to do”.

And for some personality types, that might be hectic. Not everyone would like that – but I thrive in that space.

I often can’t get to sleep at night because I’m too excited about an idea or a project. It’s a genuine issue I face – my brain won’t stop talking to me, it just wants to keep on inventing and planning and creating.

I do take time to slow down and relax, but it’s out of rejuvenation, fun or self-care, not because I am done with my tasks. I am never “done.”

My current goals and projects I’m working on/want to be working on are:

  • Growing my coaching practice

  • Building my YouTube channel

  • Hitting more push ups (to 100!)

  • Blogging daily

  • Meditating

  • Journaling

  • Reading all of the books I buy

  • Doing all the online courses I have

  • Planning a retreat

  • Going Live on Facebook

  • Building a Facebook Group

  • Choosing a volunteer project

  • Building a vegetable garden

  • Creating a short parody film

  • Choreographing a group dance to every single Britney Spears song ever (yes, actually)

  • Designing a clothing and jewelry line

  • Writing a TED talk

  • Creating and publishing my own goal setting planner

  • Starting a Podcast

  • A million other things that will pop into my head at 2am

Setting yourself big goals and dreams is the antidote to boredom.

Dream big, my friends.

Let Go & Get Clean

paul-gilmore-Vs_zkj1sEHc-unsplash.jpg

An identity is a belief about who we are. Those beliefs can be so strong we don’t even realize we have them.

They’ve become an unconscious pattern.

We are so used to being the struggling entrepreneur, or the stressed-out mum, or the one who can’t control themselves around food, that we have become dependent on that identity to know who we are.

But if we want to be the thriving entrepreneur, or the relaxed mum, or the one who loves their body, we must let go of our old identity and step into a new one.

We have to get clean.

Getting clean from belief patterns is not a once-off process. Instead, we must choose to step into our new identity one moment at a time.

What is the identity you are letting go of? What is the new identity you are stepping into?

Mind Drama

There’s a difference between the truth and the way our minds interpret things.

We think our thoughts are the truth, but they aren’t.

We do this thing called Mind Drama.

We make a situation mean something, when in fact, it doesn’t mean that thing at all.

It’s neutral.

We add meaning to a situation with our thoughts.

You get to choose the meaning, because you get to choose your thoughts.

Choose again.

There will come a day

garidy-sanders--X1CDIau79o-unsplash.jpg

There will come a day when you will reminisce about the beginning of your journey.

There will come a day where you’ll look back and remember that you used to struggle so much to make progress on your impossible dream.

There will come a day when the problem you’re facing right now won’t be a problem for you any more.

There will come a day when you are so successful at what you do, you’ll look back and give your current self advice from the future.

What will your future self say to your current self?

How did they overcome this problem you’re facing?

Miracle morning

IMG_0005.jpeg

This morning I got up with the first alarm I set. I brushed my teeth, drank a big glass of water, stretched and went for a bike ride.

This. Never. Happens.

So what changed?

I read something that changed my life last night:

The first thought you have when you wake up is the same as the last thought you had when you fell asleep.

So if you fall asleep thinking “oh no, I have to get up in just a few hours”, you’ll wake up thinking “ugh, is it time to get up already?”

But if you fall asleep thinking “I can’t wait to get up and work on my project”, you’ll wake up thinking “yay! Time to get up and work on my project”.

This concept is from the book The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod.

And let me tell you, me getting up without hitting the snooze button is nothing short of a miracle.

3 Brilliant Reads for Lockdown Learning

Lockdown is here. As much as it sucks, it also has benefits: extra time to focus on yourself, your goals and your dreams.

This month, I’ve set a goal to read three books (this will be a dramatic improvement upon how much I usually read).

I believe we’d all be better off reading the same personal development book over and over and actually applying the principles, instead of reading new books all the time and never implementing the content.

So these are the three books I’m focusing on this month, with intent to implement them as best as I can:

  1. Grit by Angela Duckworth

  2. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

  3. The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

What books are you reading during the lockdown?

Are you willing to wait?

Are you willing to wait 10 years to make it?

This was a question I asked myself today.

Are you willing to wait 30 years? 50?

Be patient enough to wait 50 years.

Remember, the pursuit is the dream. If you have to wait 50 years, you get to live the dream for 50 years.
